Parameters measurements of hydraulic elements and systems. In the Laboratory of Hydrotronic Systems the measurements of parameters of the hydraulic devices are carried out to determine static and dynamic characteristics, to identify of parameters and efficiency as well as for diagnostic purposes. The laboratory has been equipped with the electronic measurement instruments, which enable quick, accurate and simultaneous measurements of several parameters, recording their values and the computer post processing analysis.

Experimental studies of electro-hydraulic elements of proportional control in water turbine’s speed governor system. The results of experimental studies of selected proportional control valves and a complete model servomotor of the wicket gate of the turbine’s speed governor in the operating conditions, which might occur in hydroelectric power stations, are presented. Guidelines for designing of oil supply systems to obtain the required parameters in the control process have been developed.

Evaluation of the dynamic properties of the pressure relief microvalve. The paper presents examination of dynamic properties of hydraulic pressure relief microvalve with poppet as a valving element. A mathematical formula for natural frequency of microvalve has been presented and experimentally verified. Using static characteristic, geometrical dimensions and operation parameters the formula allows to determinate natural frequency of microvalve.

Functional approach in hydraulic systems design. This article presents a functional approach to creating a concept of the hydraulic system. Functions performed by the system can be divided into two groups – primary and auxiliary. Several of the most common functions within these groups were identified. This approach has been illustrated by an example.
